Certificates Distribution Program in Samagra.


For last three months, Samagra had been running many income generating training programs for under privileged girls and women free of cost
            We had 22 participants each, in the cutting & tailoring programs organized in Harbhaj Wala village situated on Shimla by pass road and Shashtri Nagar slum.
            25 girls took lessons in personal grooming (beautician training) at Samagra premises.
18 girls learnt computer (basic) and 12 girls took English lessons (grammar & conversation).
            Henna, hairdo and best (overall) competitions were held.
             Samagra children performed bollywood numbers and 10 girls presented skit in English to educate about child labour.
            Dr. Meera Ayyar, IFS from Forest Research Institute was the chief guest. She distributed the Certificates. Mr. Sikhar Saxena, DIC  (District Industries Centre) gave important information about government programs, policies and loan to the trainees.
            Mr. Atul Anand and Industrialist donated 5 sewing machines for the training programs. A lot of volunteers were presents. They were honoured by Samagra for their work.
            The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mrs. Suchitra Agrawal.

            It was followed by high tea for all the 150 participants.

31 May 2017 One more feather in Samagra’s cap, Samagra ran free tuition classes for 11 underprivileged girls of 10th from Bhavani Balika inter college, a school affiliated to Uttarakhand Board.  8 Stood first and 3 secured second division.
Samagra promised them to support till they will be self sufficient.
