On 3rd October Samagra concluded a two and half months cutting & tailoring program in Singhniwala village. It is a remote village, one kilometer far from the main road.
25 girls & women learnt the drafting, cutting and sewing of the ladies and children garments. The trainees displayed their work and organized a cultural. Around 10 girls were illiterate, so they were taught to read the numbers and measuring table. Mrs. Beena Pokhriyal was the tailoring teacher, she did good job.
Samagra donated one sewing machine to the center and distributed sweets.
Mrs. Suchitra Agarwal motivated them to be self dependent and explained about the govt. schemes for women empowerment.

Samagra celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm. This program was conceived and directed by one of our senior student Anita. All the children were involved in our Or the other activity. Radhika gave a speech about freedom struggle and the cost we paid for our freedom. Mansi told the story of Lord Krishna’s birth as Janmasthmi was also on 15th August. Children performed on patriotic songs. Mr. J.N. Awasthi and Dr. Anil from DSSS (NGO) distributed stationary to all 72 students. Mrs. Sichitra Agrawal distributed packets of mosquito repellent stickers to everyone. Samagra staff managed the sweet distribution.
